  2. MODULE INSTALLATION PICTURE GUIDE  

1. Download “v17.0.17-zipcheck.zip” from Add-on website. 

2. Log-in to Prestashop Admin Back-Office. Click “Modules” >> "Modules & Services"

3. Click “Upload a module“ button (right top)

4. Click “Select file” link & select “easycart.zip” file

5. Module will get automatically uploaded

6. Once the module is successfully uploaded, click "Configure" 

 

3. MODULE BACK OFFICE CONFIGURATION

1. On click of "Configure" link, Settings screen is displayed. You can also go this screen from BackOffice>>ZipCheck>>Settings

2. Basic carrier Settings 

1. Handling charges – By default, displays the handling charges that had been set in Shipping>>Preferences>>Handling Charges. If needed, you can edit the same
2. Carrier Name – Lists the carriers from Shipping>>Carriers
3. Add Handling Charge
• Yes – Handling Charges will be included for the listed Carrier
• No – Handling Charges will not be included for the listed carrier
4. Tax – Select the tax for the listed carrier
5. Control this Carrier
• Yes - <The Carrier can be controlled from here TBD>
• No - The Carrier cannot be controlled from here

 

 3.   Shipping Carrier display options (Pre-paid orders)

1. Override/replace default Prestashop Shipping eligibility and pricing feature
• Yes – Overrides/replaces default Prestashop Shipping eligibility and pricing feature
• No – Does not override/replace default Prestashop Shipping eligibility and pricing feature
2. Display shipping carriers in checkout flow by – Chose the relevant option on how you want to display the shipping carriers
• ANY / ALL ZIPCODES (TYPE-1)
• Display carriers for any delivery zipcode. There is NO restriction

4.   Cash on Delivery display options

1. Display COD Payment Option by
• ANY / ALL ZIPCODES (TYPE-1):
• Displays COD Option for any delivery zipcode, no restrictions
• ZIPCODE TABLE (TYPE-2):
• Checks if delivery zipcode is present in “Manage Zipcode” menu
• If present, displays COD option only if the zipcode is cod eligible
• If NOT present, COD option will not be displayed
• PRODUCT Vs ZIPCODE TABLE (TYPE-3):
• Checks if ordered product is present in "Manage Prod Vs Zip" menu
• If present, displays COD option only if the zipcode is cod eligible.
• If NOT present, COD option will not be displayed.
• TYPE-3 AND TYPE-2 BOTH:
• Checks if ordered product is present in "Manage Prod Vs Zip" menu
• If present, displays COD option only if the zipcode is cod eligible.
• If NOT present,

4. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Question 1: Bulk import zipcode is not working.

Solution:

Check if the CSV delimiter is correct. Change the separator in all .csv text files

 

In Microsoft Windows, click the “Start” button, and then click Control Panel

Open the Regional and Language Options dialog box

Type a new separator “;” in the List separator box

Click OK twice

Question 3:  I do not want “Zipcode Validator Block” in Product Details Page

Solution:

Go to Backoffice>>Zipcheck >> Settings>>ZipCode validator Block>> Display Zipcode Validator Block in Product Details Page>>No

Question 4:  COD payment option must appear for all orders from 1 to 420 eur, but not above that COD option should not be available. How do I achieve this

Solution: 

 Go to Back Office>>ZipCheck>>Settings and edit the below field values

1. Display COD Payment option Only if Order Total is GREATER THAN - Enter the minimum order value, in this case 1
2. Display COD Payment option Only if Order Total is LESSER THAN - Enter the maximum order value, in this case 420

 

Question 5:  I am unable to hide the COD Payment option for order values greater the 420 euro. I have set the Display COD Payment option Only if Order Total is LESSER THAN field in the zipcode settings

Solution: 

The default "Cash On Delivery" module is Not required, if you install our "Zipcheck" module. Disabled the default "Cash On Delivery" module and verify, the issue should be resolved

Question 6:  I have my shipping conditions set in back offices>> shipping>> Carriers.  Should I have to key the setting again for this module

Solution: 

            If you want the default settings, Go to back office >> Zipcheck                             >>Settings >> Override/replace default Prestashop Shipping eligibility                 and pricing feature>> No

Question 7:  Products need to be delivered to only one City say Chennai (from Tamilnadu state in India). In Chennai I need to limit to only a set of zipcodes. Is this possible with this module

Solution: 

Yes it is possible

You need to select correct "Validation Type" in ZIPCHECK SETTINGS menu and enter the correct zipcode values

Question 8:  Can I set shipping fee based on zipcode

Solution: 

Yes it is possible

Go to Back Office>> Zipcheck>>Mange Zipcode and enter the shipping fee based on the zipcode

Question 9:  Can I set shipping fee based on weight

Solution: 

Yes it is possible

Go to Back Office>> Zipcheck>>Mange Zipcode and enter the shipping fee based on the weight

Question 10:  I want to set my own text for all the texts used in the module

Solution: 

1.   Go to Back-office >> Localization >> Translations

2.   Select "Installed Module Translation" and modify

3.   Search "Zipcheck" module and update translation

Question 12:  Is it possible to set up different fees based on Country

Solution: 

It is possible

Check Back-office >> zipcheck >> manage zipcode menu

 

Question 13:  Is it possible to set up different fees based on State

Solution: 

It is possible

Check Back-office >> zipcheck >> manage zipcode menu

Question 14:  Do I have to disable the default shipping preferences or this is done automatically when I install the module?

Solution: 

It is done automatically as you configure the module.

Question 15:  Is it possible to set restriction to selected country by selected carrier

Solution: 

Yes it is possible by setting the required country and carrier in Back-office >> zipcheck >> manage zipcode menu.

Question 15: In my shop I want fixed amount to be charge for COD but i am not able to find that option in this module

Solution: 

Yes it is possible, Go to Back-office >> zipcheck >> manage zipcode menu and enter the COD fee for the zipcodes.

Question 16: I have two carriers delivering a particular product with different price range. How to set the carrier cost as per weight or per size

Solution: 

Yes it is possible, Go to Back-office >> zipcheck >> manage zipcode menu and enter the COD fee for the zipcodes.
